This is one of my favorite art pieces as it came about trying to create another. I had been trying to capture the essence of sister Fani Lou hammer the civil rights activist. Which is creatively motivated by one of my favorite artists Gill Scott heron's tract 95 south. . Thats a song he dedicated to Fani. So that day or should I say that week I had been listening, watching a lot of civil right movies and soundtracks. So in between all of those came Sister Soweto who's inspiration is about " all of the places we been" (Gill Scott lyrics)
